United CF Camp

Hey guys how are you? For those that attended the United CF Camp, what do you think of it? Good? Excellent? I'm-so going-to-go-again-next-year?

Well I personally think it was awesome, ESPECIALLY the Praise and Worship sessions, we really ROCKED!! Pr. Thomas's preaching was also awesome, he really brought the message to us in a fun and amazing way. The skits and cheers were cool, everyone gave their best, but sadly my team failed to get any prizes LOL :P anyway its the experience that counts right? :) My only grouse is with the "Blending" game, those that don't know what is it, you're better off not knowing... I'll never think of the blender the same way again...

Well, let me encourage you guys to really Be The Change in our school. Continue to pray and listen for God to tell you where He wants you to go, and Obey Him!! Your life will be full of purpose ONLY IF you make God as your reference point.

Saturday Meeting

Easter Party

Hey guys, we'll be having an unofficial Easter Party in Penang Christian Centre on the 23rd of April, which is one day after the Postal Bible Quiz.. Keep the date free!!

April Activities

Hey guys there will be an activity on 16th April, please remember to come and BRING YOUR YELLOW CARD :)
Also we will be having our annual Postal Bible Quiz on 22nd of April, Genesis 15-19 and Acts 1-9. For this we can get 20 marks penglibatan and 20 marks pencapaian if you read it properly(80 marks and above if i'm not mistaken) So go and read up guys!!!For afternoon class, go to 2TB5, it will start at 9.30a.m. For morning class, it will start at 2.00p.m. at 5SA4.See you guys there!

Outing

Hey guys there's an outing next Saturday, from 8.00am till 12.30 pm. This outing is a combined outing, with PCGHS. There will be sports and a telematch. Have a light breakfast at home(very light) and we'll provide breakfast for you guys. Also TRANSPORT IS NOT PROVIDED, so you'll have to find your own :) See you there!!

SYM visit

Hey Guys, check out the pics below! SYM(School of Youth Ministry) came for a visit, and among them was one of our very own, EX-Chung Ling guy, Sean Tan! Also includes other guys, such as Joshua and Sean(another one). :) One of the SYM-ers shared with us the message, while some of them also performed a kind of dance for us, very awesome stuff.... Hope to see them again in the future :)

Hey guys just wanna remind all of you to study hard yah, coz if you're in Form 1 and 2, you have to prepare for Form 3's PMR. And if you're in Form 4, like me(lols) you have to make sure you're foundation for Form 5's SPM! remember, if you have any problems, you can go and ask any of you're seniors for help yah!

Growth

Well tomorrow is the Mini Exhibition Day. The day where we hope to gather more students into the CF and hopefully experience a growth in numbers in the club. For those that don't know,a few of the committee, under the guidance of our new teacher advisor, have been fasting and praying, and we hope to see the fruits tomorrow. For those who are reading this, can you help pray for the growth in our CF, both physical growth and spiritual growth, for the whole of 2011? Thanks a lot to all of you. No matter who you are, God hears your prayers and he is pleased that you are taking this time to pray for the CF.

Love

If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing.

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. For we know in part and we prophesy in part, but when completeness comes, what is in part disappears. When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put the ways of childhood behind me. For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.

And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.
1 Corinthians 13:1-13

It is my prayer that we all, as Chung Ling Christians, will be able to embody this kind of love in our daily actions :)

Why Am I Going to Chruch?

Do you find yourself going to Church every Sunday (which in it is a good thing if you have the right reason for it) to probably listen a good sermon and to probably sing with the congregation some Christian songs you like and you just enjoy the atmosphere. If you are not in a hurry, you say a quick "Hi, how are you?" to some of the people you know, or maybe to your friends and that’s about it. Of course there can be many other motivations that people go to Church for but let’s see when moved by the right reason- love for God and for people - what is your role as a part of the Body of Christ?


1.You are a container of God’s presence!
Amazingly, we are flesh of HIS flesh and bones of HIS bones! Wow! So first of all, when you show up in Church, just by being there you bring a part of Christ with you, by your simple presence! Ephesians1:20. I don’t know if we comprehend at least in part what we have inside! It is a good reason that the apostle prayed that God would give us a Spirit of revelation and wisdom to have our spiritual eyes opened in order to understand our real calling, the treasures we inherit in His glory and his incomparably great power for us as believers, as presented in Ephesians 1:19.

Here is the apostle’s prayer for us: "And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge - that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God." Ephesians 3:17-19

2. You are a channel of blessings for those around you!

Because God lives on the inside of you, when you go to meet the other people you have something to give! You have God’s abundance and rivers of living water on the inside, that is why, when you meet your brothers and sisters you are a channel of blessings for them, trough you God can minister to them, encouraging, loving and performing any other act of mercy and love God has gifted you with. God gave numerous gifts to His Church, and the great majority of them are given for this very reason: to be a channel of blessing for others. CHRIST is the HEAD of the Church and just like a healthy body that follows the commands of the brain, we are doing the right action when we listen to the command of Christ.

3. Dare for much more!

Don't limit God with your thinking! Next time when you go to Church, think how through you, God can do "immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us"! Ephesians 3:20

Pray that you experience God’s best for you, God has such great plans for you that your brain cannot think of asking and cannot even imagine! Just how vast and overwhelming those plans can be? Next time when you go to church,ask God to lead you, ask God to let you experience once again the way He wants to minister to others through you,and your heart will be filled with the joy and peace that surpasses understanding! Go spread love, kindness and truth when you are in those meetings with your brothers, ask God to direct your steps and He will surprise you with more than you can think, ask or imagine!

We are not always on the mountain top, we oftentimes go through valleys in life but make it a challenge for you when you are in church and people would like to talk to you, let them go with a smile on their face, an encouragement or at least give a kind and sincere smile, brighten someone’s path! If no one comes to talk to you, be the initiator and give someone an appreciation, be inventive and honest and you will feel the satisfaction of having done an act of love! To the One who created heavens and earth and Who gave us wonderful gifts, "to Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever!" Ephesians 3:21
